Evansville Republicans say their 2007 campaign theme is striking a chord with voters.
Their theme is "Sewers before Stadium."
Maverick Strategies recently conducted a poll which shows 95% of Republicans, 79% of Democrats and 72% of Independents in Evansville agree with that argument.
City Council candidate Andrew Smith admits he paid for the survey, but he says it was a scientific poll conducted across the city and across party lines.
