The Henderson County Judge Executive says the ten commandments dont belong in the countys courthouse. Boy scout, Ian Gerard and his teacher argued yet again before fiscal court Tuesday. They say it would be part of a historical document display. They cited similar cases and letters of support from places like the Liberty Counsel and the ACLU. But Judge Executive, Sandy Lee Watkins, ended the court session with a simple no. He says everyday people are filing lawsuits to remove religious documents and while he appreciates everyones opinions theres nothing left to discuss. Gerard was hoping to put up the display in order to earn the rank of eagle scout. He says the display would not have been a religious expression, but an historical exhibit.
