More than a dozen people are recovering from injuries suffered in Thursday nights tornadoes and storms in western Kentucky. Owensboro was one of the hardest hit cities. The weather service confirms at least four different storms ripped through that area. It was hard to tell just how extensive storm damage was in the dark night. Its hard to tell how much damage a tornado carrying storm can cause. In downtown Owensboro, the night skies shaded what conditions last nights storm left. "I cant see anything at all." But before sunrise police prepared and were ready when the sun came up over the destroyed rooftops and splintered tree limbs. "It looks like an air raid - its crazy." "This is probably the worst damaged area on 3rd near Clay street downed trees and power lines - damaged houses - it may look bad but in a storm like this most people consider themselves lucky." "Its amazing." Mike King was on his front porch when the winds started picking up. "We didnt know what was going on." He ran inside thinking a tornado could be over his house. "Yen seconds later all this happened." King is just one of dozens figuring out what to do now while crews work hard to quickly clean the mess that came up with the morning sun.
