Emergency Landing in Evansville

A safe ending to a scary situation at the evansville airport this morning. Around 6:30, city dispatchers got word that a boeing 727 cargo jet needed to make an emergency landing. They were told there was a fire and hazardous materials onboard the incoming aircraft that required immediate attention. The jet landed safely at around 6:45. There was no fire and no hazardous threat. A mechanic at Tri-state Aero checked it out and the plane continued on its journey at about noon.
