(New York, NY) -- The New York Yankees have offered the managerial job to Joe Girardi. "1050 ESPN Radio" is reporting the team will make a formal announcement about Girardi later this week. Girardi was most recently a manager for the Florida Marlins. He was named National League Manager of the Year in 2006. Girardi gets the offer over Evansville native Don Mattingly and Tony Pena.
