The Indiana Attorney General's Office has filed a $30,000 lawsuit against a former employee of the Warrick County Treasurer's Office.
Elaine Newton lost her job last summer after she was charged with stealing money from the office to support her gambling habit.
The Attorney General says the County has been able to recover about $10,000 through insurance claims, but it is asking Newton to personally repay the rest of the money.
The criminal case against Newton is still pending.
