Two MRSA Cases in Mt. Vernon

There are two more confirmed cases of MRSA staph infection in a tri-state school corporation. Mount Vernon Superintendent Keith Spurgeon says the Health Department has confirmed one case in a high school student and another case in a junior high student. Students brought home letters Thursday explaining the situation and steps the schools have taken to keep the disease from spreading. Classes will continue at the schools as scheduled.
