UPDATE NOON: FOX 7 News has confirmed that Casino Aztar Manager Maureen Keenan has resigned. A Casino official tells FOX 7 Keenan resigned just before noon Friday and her last day at Aztar will be November 23rd. Keenan was the head of finance and administration at the casino for 12 years prior to being appointed General Manager by Columbia Sussex in late March.
Maureen Keenan was out of the office yesterday and attempts to reach her at the office today have been unsuccessful.
Former Manager Jim Brown resigned shortly after Aztar was sold to Columbia Sussex. He was at the helm since the riverboat opened.
We have reporters working on this story and will bring you more details on this website and on FOX 7 News at 6 and 6:30.
Since changing ownership, casino dealers have attempted to unionize with the UAW and Columbia Sussex has been criticized by the Evansville Mayor's office for staff reductions.
