Pastor Resigns After Son-In-Law Arrested

Some members of an Evansville church say they are tired of seeing their congregation in the headlines. Washington Avenue Baptist Church has seen its name in the news since earlier this year when the churchs music director, who also happened to be the son-in-law of the Pastor, Nathan St. Pierre, was arrested and charged with having inappropriate relations with an underage female at the church. A Deacon at the church says Pastor Mike Bebout resigned his ministry at the church several weeks ago, and has since started a new congregation, taking some of the members of Washington Avenue with him. The Deacon says Washington Avenue is simply trying to stay alive.
