Hazmat crews respond to an accident this morning on Highway 41in Evansville. It happened just after 8am on Highway 41 North and St. George Road. Firefighters say a car slammed on its breaks at a yellow light. A flatbed semi truck behind the car couldnt stop in time and one of the electrical transformers it was carrying broke from its safety strap. The back transformer then slammed into the front one, causing a chemical leak. Firefighters say at this time they believe the chemicals are non hazardous.
