UE mens basketball head coach Marty Simmons and Randy Moore are the representing the Salvation Armys Red Kettle campaign this year. They kicked off the event at the east side Wal-Mart Monday afternoon. The kettle campaign starts this Friday and runs through Christmas eve. Money raised will help the Salvation Army meet basic human needs. Captain Harold Poff of the Salvation Army says, "This is our largest fundraising campaign during the year and how well we do with the red kettle will determine the programs and services well be able to provide throughout the year." This years goal is $206,000. So they need your help. Please dont pass a red kettle without dropping in a generous donation.
