At least 45 Boonville senior citizens are homeless tonight after a fire at their apartment complex. Fire destroyed at least one apartment at Lincoln Place Apartments on Mills Avenue. It started just after 4 this afternoon in an apartment complex for senior citizens. The fire was contained to one room. Eighty-six year old Muriel Bland, who lived where the fire started was life-flighted to Louisville for burns and smoke inhalations. Everyone else who needed help just walked across the street to St. Marys Medical Center Warrick County. After everyone was accounted for management decided theyre going to spend the night cleaning up, in the hopes of getting all the residents back in as quickly as possible. The name of the injured woman is not being released yet. Firefighters are still trying to determine a cause.
