An editor at one of the area newspapers was arrested for masturbating at an Evansville store.
Police say German Lopez was seen on video committing the act in an aisle in the Marshall's Department store November 9th.
Authorities report Lopez had three arrests in New Jersey in the mid 1990's for lewdness and a pending case in Bloomington for vicarious sexual gratification.
He also had three other arrests in Vanderburgh County for public indecency.
Out of the seven cases, there have been four convictions.
Lopez told police he is seeking treatment at Deaconess Cross-Pointe.
He works at the Princeton Daily Clarion newspaper.
