Gas Prices Are High And Climbing
(New York, NY) -- Millions of travelers are expected to hit the road this week for Thanksgiving, despite rising gas prices.
The latest Lundberg survey of seven-thousand gas stations shows the average price for regular unleaded is now three-dollars-nine-cents a gallon.
Prices have jumped nearly 13 cents in the past two weeks and about 86-cents a gallon in the past year.
Trilby Lundberg says the rise will continue even if crude oil prices drop and that pump prices could easily reach all time highs.

Tour Bus Accident Kills One, Injures Several
(Dorchester County, SC) -- The investigation is underway into a deadly tour bus accident that killed one person and injured several others.
According to officials in Dorchester County, South Carolina, the crash happened earlier this morning while the bus was taking about 50 people to Miami, Florida to board a cruise ship.
The driver was killed and about 30 people were taken to area hospitals to be treated for minor injuries.
Officials say the victim hasnt been identified and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

San Francisco To Implement ID Program For All
(San Francisco, CA) -- All San Francisco residents could soon be able to get ID cards regardless of their immigration status.
Thats according to the "Los Angeles Times," which says the San Francisco board of supervisors is expected to pass a city ordinance tomorrow to allow the change.
Mayor Gavin Newsom is expected to sign the law into effect as soon as it passes.
The controversial law would be the first of its kind on the West Coast, and modeled after a similar law in New Haven, Connecticut.

CA Cheerleaders Fight School Suspension
(Ripon, CA) -- Six cheerleaders from one California high school have been suspended for flashing a message written on their backsides.
It happened during a football game last week at Ripon High School.
The cheerleaders were suspended for two days this week by Vice Principal Ken Goeken 1/81/8GAY-kin3/83/8, who ordered the girls off the field when they defied their coach and continued with a routine they had planned.
The cheerleaders ended the routine by bending over, lifting their skirts, and showing the crowd the words "Indians Number 1" spelled on their bloomers.

Underwood Has Big Night At American Music Awards
(Los Angeles, CA) -- It was "American Idol" night last night at the 35th annual American Music Awards.
"Idol alums Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry each walked away with three awards during the televised event.
Daughtry got the nod for Favorite Breakthrough Artist as well as Favorite Artist Adult Contemporary Music, and the "Daughtry" self-titled CD captured Favorite Album Pop or Rock.
Underwood received awards in country categories for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album with "Some Hearts." In addition, she grabbed the multi-genre T-Mobile Text-In Favorite Artist.

Michigans Carr To Retire
(Ann Arbor, MI) -- After another disappointing loss to Ohio State, University of Michigan head football coach Lloyd Carr says hes retiring.
According to the "Detroit News" and "Detroit Free Press," Carr told his players yesterday that hell step down.
Hes expected to do so at a news conference later this morning.
In 13 seasons at Michigan, Carr posted a record of 121-and-40, leading the Wolverines to five Big Ten titles, and the 1997 national championship.
