Taxpayers Group to Meet with Governor

Several taxpayer watch dog groups from across the state have been invited to Indianapolis to meet with Governor Mitch Daniels Tuesday during the legislative orientation day. The groups plan to ask for a complete repeal of the states income tax.
Governor Daniels has proposed reducing property tax to one percent of a homes value, and capping that rate with a constitutional amendment. His plan would also put in place strict guidelines for government spending, and raise the state sales tax to make up for lost revenue.
