breaking news
Now that youve made it through your thanksgiving meals its time to think about shopping.
Many Tri-Staters cut their holiday short - to wait in line for sales.
And theyre still waiting tonight.
The doors will open at 5 am.
So the people here only have 8 more hours.
Those of you sitting at home may think thats a long time to be outside in this cold - but the people here are having a good time.
Bill Bristol is spending his thanksgiving afternoon like most - relaxing -
But Bristol is choosing to recline while waiting in a line - outside Best Buy.
"Nothing better to do so I thought Id save some money."
He wants a laptop that wont be available until the store opens at 5 am.
Hes not the only one getting a very early start on Black Friday sales.
"Probably about 400 dollars on the one Im going get," says Dave Pruitt.
Bristol only has his chair and some extra clothes.
"Ill put the car harts on later when the temperature starts to drop probably when the sun goes down."
Others are setting up their tents next to heaters.
But still taking time out to enjoy a turkey dinner - in Tupperware.
"Its really not that bad its rather enjoyable," says Bristol.
Not only because Bristol and the others are saving money - but theyre making friends.
"Its a lot of camaraderie out here people with tents and eating and playing cards," says Pruitt.
On top of all the money saved and the friends made bristol and the others wont have to deal with black Friday crowds.
"Ill be in bed by the time Black Friday hits"
The way this works - there are only so many of these low priced laptops available.
Bristol says at 3 am the store will hand out tickets for people who were here early enough to get one.
But again - everyone is guaranteed to find something on sale - and theyve made friends doing it.
