Tomorrow ultimate fighting is taking over the Coliseum in Evansville. Some of the best in mixed martial arts will battle it out - including Tara LaRosa - one of the best female fighters in the world. But keeping focused on the fight isnt as easy for LaRosa. As a young child Tara LaRosa didnt dream of becoming an ultimate fighter Now with a record of 14 and one - shes considered one of the best female fighters in the world. "Thats what some people say." She got her start right here in Evansville. "April 13, 2002. That was my first pro fight ever." The sport even helped LaRosa find love with boyfriend Adrian Elizalde. "He loved ultimate fighting he was a wrestler actually really good." After two years together the couple was looking at the future. "He planned on proposing." Until this august when Sargent First Class Elizadle was killed by an IED while serving in Iraq. It was hard getting back to fighting. The loss took a toll on LaRosas body. "When things happen you dont eat much." Thats tough for a fighter who has to weigh in to work. Knowing how much Elizadle loved the sport and supported her - shes not giving up. "I just have to suck it up get in their do what I love represent him and myself." Because even though things are tough - LaRosa knows she has to keep fighting. This weekends match takes place Saturday at 7:30 at the coliseum downtown.
