Wesselman Park may soon be turned into something that could bring thousands of people to Evansville every year. This morning the Evansville Convention and Visitors Bureau approved a motion to spend 425 thousand dollars to design a new super sports complex at the park. Committee members say they are excited about bringing a new attraction to the area, something thats been in the works for 5-years. If all goes as planned, construction on approximately 60 acres of the preserve will begin next summer. By 2009, the complex could host hundreds of teams a year for competition.
