breaking news
Family and friends said their final goodbyes to the victim of the Thanksgiving day shooting. Twenty nine year old Nicole Stroud was buried this morning in Wadesville. She was shot in the backyard of her grandmothers house in Wadesville.
Her dog had gotten out and wandered into a neighbors yard. That neighbor, Melinda Lindauer, then allegedly fired the shot that accidentally killed Stroud. Lindauer faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide, and criminal recklessness. If convicted, she could face up to eight years in jail. Her lawyer plans to enter a formal plea during the next hearing scheduled for January 8th.
