Hendersons Office for Employment and Training needs angels.
For the third straight year, they have an Adopt-a-Veteran Angel Tree program for military veterans living in local residential care facilities.
Now, they just need people to stop by the office on Water street before December 18 and pick a name from their patriotic-themed tree in the lobby.
Once you have a name, youre an angel and all you have to do to brighten a veterans Christmas is buy a $10 gift card and some fruit and candy.
Arthur Hayden of the Henderson Career Center says, "As we get older, we will probably end up at a residential care facility ourselves and were hoping no one forgets that we enjoy our freedom today for their sacrifices."
So far, they have 77 veterans who will benefit from this Angel Tree program.
The office is open Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Fridays 7:30 a.m. to Noon.
