Trial Date Set for New Mother

A Gibson County mother charged with neglect is scheduled to go to trial in February. Police say Vanessa Robinson of Patoka went to the hospital in March complaining of abdominal pain. Doctors determined she had recently given birth, but they could not find the baby. Investigators say they later found the infant inside a cardboard box in the basement of Robinsons home . An autopsy shows the baby died of suffocation.
