Alcoa announced 50 new job openings after adding a new production facility. According to company officials the jobs will be a mix of salary and hourly positions. They include engineering jobs and other positions, most filled by workers already within the plant. The new jobs are due to the creation of a lithographic cleaning line at the Warrick County plant used to clean, level, and trim lithographic sheets. Alcoa Director of Lithographic Sales, Beth Schmitt, says the sheets are used to create products in high end printing. Schmitt says Kodak, Fuji, and Agfa are among the divisions customers.
