At least 18 residents evacuated apartments in Ohio County after police found a working meth lab.
Beaver Dam police, Hartford police, and Ohio County Sheriffs department responded to 202 Lafayette Street in Beaver Dam just after nine Saturday morning.
Thats when resident, Beverly Harrison says a neighbor called the landlord and the landlord found John Garrett in the basement with the meth lab.
Garrett was taken to the Ohio County jail.
Police say he didnt live in the apartments but was a friend of a resident.
But while police worked to decontaminate the building....Harrison like many others is looking for somewhere to go.
Landlord, David Wiley says he will try to help those who need help a place to stay.
Saying hes glad the Amonia nitrate and items found did not cause injuries or damages.
Kentucky State police says the health department will decide whether residents can come back to their apartments anytime soon.
Some say they left medication and pets left in the building but are not allowed at this time to go back in.
