Truck Driver Arrested for Possession of Drugs
(Perry County, IN) A 40-year old North Carolina trucker is in the Perry County jail on drug charges after he was clocked driving too fast late yesterday.
Kenneth Michael Perry of Graham, NC was driving east on I-64 and when he and his 80,000 pounds of steel were stopped, a trooper smelled "burnt marijuana."
A subsequent search of the vehicle produced less than 30 grams of marijuana, less than 3 grams of crystal methamphetamine and some drug paraphernalia.
Perry was booked and held on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana,and Possession of Paraphernalia.
