For those of you who lived through it, its hard to believe 30 years have gone by since the University of Evansville tragedy.
Dozens of folks attended a memorial service Thursday, honoring the 29 who died in the Purple Aces plane crash.
It was held in the Neu Chapel, with a procession to Memorial Plaza near the "weeping basketball".
The plane crash is an unbelievably sad piece of the University of Evansvilles history, but on this anniversary, it is important for many to remember those who died, including Jeff Kniese.
His brother, Mark, was on board that plane.
The team was headed to Murfreesburo, Tennessee for a game against Middle Tennessee State.
