The "for sale" sign is back at Evansvilles Casino Aztar.
After just over a year of ownership, Columbia Sussex announced Monday that it will sell Aztar, as well as the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, and a third casino in Mississippi.
Problems getting a new license for the Tropicana triggered the sale.
New Jersey regulators said Columbia Sussex isnt capable of running a first class operation.
The owners also ran afoul of Evansville mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel after making several layoffs.
Local business leaders say the announcement isnt a big surprise and could translate into a golden opportunity.
Columbia Sussex laid off more than 70 Aztar employees this year.
Dealers and supervisors on the gambling boat joined a union in November in an effort to increase job security.
