breaking news
In Waverly Kentucky this weekend, high waters caused an s-u-v there to slide off the road.
Ironically, Jay Gould was on his way to a funeral, when his car became submerged into water and almost took his life.
Gould was trapped in the flooded vehicle but was able to make a call that saved his life.
His rescuer, Josh Matthews, says he had to act fast.
When he arrived, Gould only had three inches of breathing room left in the SUV.
Gould was suffering from hypothermia when Matthews pulled him out from the back windshield.
Goulds car is still submerged in the water, along with another truck and van that slid in after.
The road is closed off until the flood waters reside.
