Albion Girl Rescued

An Edwards county girl is recovering tonight after her familys Mexican cruise becomes a rescue mission for a US warship. 14-year-old Laura Montero of Albion had to be transported to the USS Ronald Reagan after falling ill on the Dawn Princess cruise ship. Once aboard the aircraft carrier, doctors performed an emergency operation to remove the teens appendix. Fox 7 spoke with her aunt, Michelle Burton today and she said Laura is expected to make a full recovery and should be home in the next few days.
