Hair Salon Robbed -- Suspect Wanted

Evansville police are looking for a man accused of holding up a southeast side hair salon with a knife. Officers were called to Sharons Hair Design at 2470 Covert Avenue, just before 1 Monday afternoon. According to initial reports, the suspect displayed a buck knife and took an undisclosed amount of money from the salon. He reportedly left on foot heading east on Covert. The suspect is described as a white man about 5-foot-10-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a blue-gray windbreaker, blue jeans, a black ballcap and horn-rimmed glasses at the time of the robbery.
