

UPDATE -- The Evansville doctor accused of leaving her 18-month-old son locked in a car for an hour has been suspended from her job at Saint Marys without pay pending the outcome of the case.

A tristate couple was in court Thursday morning accused of allegedly leaving their toddler in their minivan while they went shopping.
Dr. Christine Reagan and her husband Timothy pleaded not guilty to child neglect charges in Vanderburgh County Circuit Court. The incident happened just two days after Christmas. Deputies were called to Evansville's east side Kohl's store when other shoppers noticed a small child unattended and crying in a minivan. The Reagan's were arrested a short time later. Christine Reagan is a doctor at St. Mary's Medical Center. A hospital spokesperson says they are assessing the situation and would not make any further comment.
