Boonville Fire

Faulty wiring may have been the cause of a fire in Boonville.
Firefighters responded to a fire at 816 South 5th Street last night around 9:30.
Homeowner Shannon Cook was not home when the house caught fire.
A neighbor called cook with the news.
Although firefighters were able to save the structure, the home is considered a complete loss because of the heavy interior damage.
Fire Chief Steve Byers says the likely cause--faulty wiring in a wall receptacle.
