Ellis Park Strike Update

Day nine, and theres still no end in sight to the Ellis Park strike.
Union clerks are picketing for a continuation of their old contract.
A new contract began January 1st, that would cut their wages by 40%, from $15.80 to $12.00 an hour, and almost eliminate their benefits.
Theyre prepared to strike until the first day live races begin-- July 4th.
According to Indiana Downs representatives, they have seen an increase in business.
Ellis park representatives say theyre waiting for a counter offer from strikers, and until they do, they have no plans to change or improve their offer.
