Early Voting For Illinois Residents

By: Web Producer
Updated: January 14, 2008
Early Voting For Illinois Residents (Chicago) -- Illinois residents, who want to avoid long lines at the polls, will now be able to cast their votes before the February 5th primary election. Under this relatively new option in the Land of Lincoln, voters, with a valid photo ID, can cast an early ballot in person between now and January 31st. On Sunday, the Chicago Election Board started distributing voter guides to more than one-million Chicago households. The guides, which will be mailed out through Friday, have detailed instructions about the entire voting process including the touch-screen system, proper polling places and how to cast an early vote. For more information on election guides you can go to www.chicagoelections.com, or call 312 269 7900. (Copyright 2008 by Newsroom Solutions) RNS-01-14-08 1008CST
