Researchers To Create Cancer-Fighting Beer
Cancer patients might soon want to chug a beer to fight the disease.
According to the "Sydney Morning Herald," researchers have found a substance in hops that fights cancer.
They are trying to create a special brew, the anti-cancer beer, for cancer patients.
Researchers said preliminary tests show the substance stops a family of enzymes that can trigger the cancer process.
The substance contains more antioxidants than vitamin E and could reduce oxidation of bad cholesterol.
Hops have been used in herbal medicines as muscle relaxants and could prevent hot flashes from menopause.
