From: Vanderburgh County Commissioner Bill Nix:

After much thought and careful consideration, I would like to officially announce that I will not seek a second term as Vanderburgh County Commissioner. My term as Commissioner has been very fulfilling, and I have truly enjoyed working with my fellow Commissioners, our department heads, county employees, and on the many projects important to the citizens of Vanderburgh County. It has been quite a juggling act holding down two full time positions. I feel the county would be better served with someone who could devote more time than I have been able to. I'd like to thank my family and friends for their support and encouragement throughout my term. I would also like to thank Industrial Contractors and my fellow co-workers for their support and patience while serving this great county. I am confident that those chosen to lead Vanderburgh County into 2009 will serve the county to the best of their ability.
