Pike County Man Arrested for Sexual Misconduct with Minor

Gibson County – Tuesday afternoon, January 15, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Indiana State Police Detective W.W. George arrested Joel P. Meece, 18, of Winslow, after an investigation revealed he had consensual sexual relations with a 14-year-old Gibson County girl. Meece was arrested without incident after turning himself in at the Gibson County Jail. Indiana State Police launched an investigation in December 2007 after the mother of the 14-year-old girl discovered her daughter had been having sexual relations. During the investigation, Detective George was able to determine that Meece had sexual relations with the 14-year-old girl several times between October and November 2007. Meece is currently being held in the Gibson County Jail on a $2,500 bond. ARRESTED AND CHARGE: Joel P. Meece, 18, 1004 1st Street, Winslow, IN 1.
