High school junior, Logan Dame, is back home after undergoing surgery to remove a rare brain tumor. Doctors say last weeks surgery was a huge success, and now its time to recover. Logan dame and his family have made it through the hard part. His brain surgery went better than expected and hes now home safe with his parents. Recovery is first on their minds, and second, football. Doctors told him to wait about four weeks before doing anything strenuous, but Logan hopes to get life back in order sooner. He plays tight end and defensive end for castle high schools football team. Doctors thought the tumor might hurt his eyesight, limiting his ability to play ball in the future.. His mother Rhonda says no matter what his condition next fall, hell definitely be on the football field and shes sure it will be an emotional day. After eight hours on the operating table, doctors believe the tumor was fully removed and benign. Logan says the first few days are still hazy, but he can still remember his first thoughts. A sigh of relief for Logan and for the forty people who sat in the hospitals waiting room. Logan says the medication hes on is taking care of most of the pain. Rhonda says hes doing so well, sometimes she forgets he just had life-altering surgery. Logan will meet with doctors in Nashville in 6 weeks to make sure the tumor is gone. Well keep you updated on his condition.
