State Police Arrest Posey County Man for Child Molesting

Posey County - On December 21, 2007, Indiana State Police launched a criminal investigation after receiving information that a five-year-old Posey County girl had been molested by Enrico Rogers, 31, of Mt. Vernon. The alleged incident occurred at Rogers’ residence, located at 325 Green Valley Drive. Preliminary investigation revealed that on December 20, 2007, the mother dropped her five-year-old daughter off at Rogers’ house in Mt. Vernon while she and a friend went out of town for the evening. While Rogers was babysitting he allegedly fondled the five-year-old girl. Friday afternoon, January 18, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Indiana State Police Detective Alan Sherretz arrested Rogers without incident at his place of employment in Mt. Vernon. Rogers was taken to the Posey County Jail where he is currently being held on a $10,000 cash bond. ARRESTED AND CHARGE: Enrico Rogers, 31, 325 Green Valley Drive, Mt. Vernon, IN 1. Child Molesting, Class C Felony A person convicted of a Class C Felony could serve up to eight years in prison and receive a maximum fine of $10.000.
