Two Women Found Dead in Car

By: Web Producer
Updated: January 22, 2008
Update: Deputy Coroner Annie Groves tells Fox 7 the victims are a mother and daughter from Jasper. Autopsies should be completed this evening. Names have not been released until the family can be notified. Groves says this appears to be a case of double suicide with no criminal activity involved. Vanderburgh County authorities are investigating the deaths of two women found in a car. The bodies were discovered today off of Old Henderson Road after someone noticed the vehicle was still in the same location. The reporting individual had first noticed the silver Dodge with Indiana plates on Sunday and assumed it belonged to a hunter. When police arrived today they found the car contained two white deceased females. The cause of the deaths is being investigated by the sheriffs office and the county coroner. The names of the women have not been released. Fox 7 has a crew working the story and will have more details as they become available on-line and on-air.
