Early Morning Pursuit Ends with One Arrest



Vanderburgh County – Tuesday morning, January 22, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Master Trooper James Boling was patrolling I-164 near the 2 mile-marker when he observed a white Chevrolet Malibu traveling westbound at 88 mph. Boling attempted to stop the driver by activating his emergency lights, but the driver refused to stop and continued westbound at a high rate of speed. The driver exited I-164 to northbound Kentucky Avenue and then onto several different city streets. He eventually turned east on Seal Drive, stopped his car and fled on foot. Several minutes later, Evansville Police apprehended the driver six blocks north near Madison Avenue and Kirth. The driver was later identified as Marchello D. Hoskins, 27, of Evansville. Hoskins was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.
