Evansville Hires New Metro Development Director

Evansville Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel has hired an Executive Director of the Department of Metropolitan Development.
Hes the current director of planning for the city of Paducah, Thomas Barnett.
Barnett will replace Gregg LaMar, who died last October.
Barnetts major projects in Paducah include the $25 million renovation of a 30-block depressed area into the nations fastest growing arts district.
His first day on the job in Evansville will be March 17th.
