Henderson Community College Budget Cuts

Henderson Community College is looking at a million dollar loss next year if a proposal by Governor Steve Beshear goes through. Hes asking all state colleges to cut 3 percent from their budgets this year and another 15 percent next year.
Breaking it down, the 15 percent is more than 600 thousand dollars in the schools budget. On top of it the Governor says there is no money for operating new buildings. That means the Sullivan Center built to bring together GED help, career services, and a learning center with technology, will sit unused.
