breaking news
Indiana State Police say they found methamphetamine making supplies in a charred vehicle that rolled off of Boyd Road last night, near Tell City.
When neighbors spotted the burning car on the rural road, they called for help. Fire crews found the body of 31 year old Joseph R. Dixon inside. An autopsy showed he died of smoke inhalation. Dixon was apparently trapped inside the burning car as it ran off the road. The Perry County coroner says there no other signs of trauma, and State Police say the car rolled to a slow stop, and did not hit anything.
They have not determined if a meth lab caused the fire yet, but it is one of the leads they are following up on.
Indiana State Police are asking anyone with information on this case to call their Jasper post.
