CHAMBER UNVEILS ADVOCACY WEBSITE
Evansville, Ind. (February 8, 2008) The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana is excited to unveil a new advocacy website, www.voicesofsouthwestindiana.com, to boost public participation in the civic process and give Southwest Indiana a stronger voice in Indianapolis.
In partnership with the U.S. Chamber, the website was developed to engage users to identify and communicate with elected officials, research issues affecting the region and learn more about the candidates running for local, state and federal office. Periodically the Chamber will use the site to send "Action Alerts" to it’s membership to encourage communication to elected officials about issues of importance to Southwest Indiana.
To get started go to, www.voicesofsouthwestindiana.com, then “TAKE ACTION” and find state elected officials by entering your mailing address. This quick and easy registration allows a user to identify and communicate with their own elected officials.
For questions regarding the website please contact Steve Schaefer, Vice President Public Policy, at 812.425.8147, via e-mail at sschaefer@ccswin.com .
