Icy conditions, downed trees and power lines have been causing hazards on the roads throughout the tri-state.
Kentucky transportation officials and those in Hopkins county were among many others up early clearing the roads.
It was mostly the north and northwest portions of Hopkins county where trees and power lines were a problem for workers.
This included Slaughters Lake Road were a portion was still shutdown late this afternoon.
It was pretty much the same situation along the Pennyrile where icy trees had to be cut and cleared.
Kentucky Transportation officials say they will be working to clear roads into the night.
