A day of arts, entertainment and “girl-power”
for 5th to 8th grade girls and their families
There’s still time to register for Girls in Bloom!
The event is slated for Saturday, February 23, at The Centre. Registration begins at 8:30, followed by workshops beginning at 9:00. “Because the snow days have prevented some students from returning their registration forms, we wanted to assure everyone that they haven’t missed their opportunity to participate in this year’s event,” explains Event Director Patty Avery.
The theme of this year’s fifth annual event is “Journey to my Dreams!” Committee members have organized a full schedule of free workshops ranging from dance and music to drama, self defense, and skin care. Girls are also invited to prepare artwork and creative writing on the theme for the non-competitive exposition. In addition to participant presentations,
