Five were killed and seventeen injured in the campus shooting at Northern Illinois University Thursday, and a Reitz High School graduate was there when it happened. Ronald Crider plays football at NIU. He was in the building next door when the shooting happened. He says he saw a swarm of students running from Cole Hall, but was unaware at the time, of the shooting. Crider didnt know any of the students shot or injured. Hes home now with his family and friends, and remembering those killed. Upon his arrival back to school, Crider anticipates a somber campus, but believes this will bring students closer together. Classes at northern Illinois university are to resume a week from Monday.
