Whats at the back of your freezer? How about on the pantrys top shelf? Most people have no idea. Its no wonder half all food in the US goes to waste. Tri-Stater Erin Kochs fridge is plump from a weekly Sunday grocery shopping trip, but Erin says, it only takes a couple of days before things start looking bare and the left overs hit the trash. Theres meat in the deep freeze, but it takes time to defrost. Meanwhile, dozens of canned goods sit untouched. The whole thing creates a mid-week meal crunch. One solution: a website that works great in a situation like this. You simply type in the ingredients you have, and it gives you a list of things you can make for dinner. http://www.google.com/base/search?a_n0=recipes&scoring=ld&a_y0=9&a_s0=0&a_r=1 The more food you use up, the less that goes to waste. One easy way your family can be more green.
