breaking news
Journey Lee Kessler, 6 month old daughter of Brooke Kessler of Evansville, Indiana needs a liver transplant within the next few months according to Doctors at the Riley Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis.
Journey Lee, born with her twin, Adriana at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in July 2007, will not survive without this life-saving operation. She was taken to Riley Hospital just before Christmas with a Respiratory Virus and will remain under constant medical care until after the transplant operation. According to Doctors at Riley, she may need the operation as soon as next month.
Mother Brooke has remained with Journey in Indianapolis since before Christmas, coming home only when Grandmother Renae Steele was able to take off work to stay two days at Christmas. Renae and her daughter, Bailey have been caring for twin Adriana and brothers Kenneth and Jacob, ages 2 and 4.
Friends and family in the community gathered to organize the Journey Lee Kessler Foundation. The following activities are planned:
- Fifth/3 rd Locations will accept donations to the Journey Lee Kessler Fund
- A Jazz Music Fund raiser/Spaghetti Dinner will be held at the National Guard Armory with both Chinese and Silent Auctions
- Bucket Brigade - Project Mgr. Sherri Tosti
