Henderson Police Ready to Hire

Want to be a police officer? The Henderson Police Department wants to hear from you. The agency is accepting applications until Friday at 5:00 p.m. Everyone will need a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21 years old, have or be able to get a valid Kentucky drivers license and must be or become a Kentucky resident. There will also be several tests.. including drug, physical, psychological and a polygraph. The department will hold examinations on Saturday, March 8 at 8 a.m. at North Middle School in Henderson. Candidates will have to go through 20 weeks of extensive training in Richmond Kentucky and then 20 more weeks of in-house training. You can apply for the job online at cityofhendersonky.org or in person at the Henderson City Building at 222 First Street.
